What People Say

Most Liked

Diners rave about the grass-fed burgers, which are cooked to perfection and often praised for their rich flavors. The homemade hummus is equally loved, with many calling it a standout dish that draws them back for more.

Comfort meets creativity at Layla with menu items like loaded fries and spicy wings, perfect for sharing among friends. The vegan options, notably the vegan burger and kale sides, attract those looking for healthier options without compromising on taste.

Additional appetizers like the southside nachos and red pepper hummus cater to a variety of palates, making it a smug fit for diverse groups. The outdoor seating area, especially during live music nights, provides a compelling atmosphere for gatherings and celebrations.

Most Disliked

Despite the rave reviews, wait times can be a downside. On peak nights, like weekends, expect possible delays for tables, which might require reservations to mitigate wait times.

Some diners express disappointment with certain menu items, such as the lamb shawarma, which has received mixed reviews compared to the universally praised burgers. Others note that the prices, while fair, can be on the higher side if you opt for multiple starters or drinks.

Additionally, patrons point out the lack of children during evening hours, which can mean a buzzier bar-like atmosphere unsuitable for families later in the day.

My partner and I visited Layla last Saturday afternoon and it was amazing healthy food. I'd seen this place many times before, but never thought to stop and experience it. When I tell you that I will be going back here I will be and soon. I loved the ambiance. I'm a big fan of movies and music and there was all types of movie and music posters all around the walls. There was also signs telling you where the beers they had at the bar were made. Y'all this was an awesome place. I got pictures of some of the movie and music posters that I'm sure y'all will love. The food was totally amazing. I love that this place had healthy items even organic and grass fed. That's my type of food. I ordered a grass fed burger and flash fried kale. I could've fell out...it was so good. My partner ordered hummus, side salad and i forget what the main plate was, but it was similar to a gyro. I tasted his food as well and that homemade hummus drove me insane. It was so good! I have pictures of it all. This was an experience. I love places that have good service, great food and that gives me a visual experience as well. I was amazed by all of the movies and music posters that we had a great conversation about what we saw. Go check it out for yourselves. This establishment is wheelchair accessible. They do have a parking lot on the side of the restaurant which is where we parked. If it's full when you go keep in mind there's ample metered street parking. This is a bar and I didn't see any children present. Call ahead to verify before making the trip with your kids. I also noticed outdoor patio seating was available as well. We sat on the inside though. #Tonetta #couplewithsoul

Our first dinning experience in Missouri and it didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed some great burgers and they were absolutely delicious 🤤. The fries were seasoned really well. I had a vegan burger that was sooooo good and I definitely recommend this place.

Great experience, amazing burgers. The only restaurant in the area that had waiting time. We waited for 45 minutes until a table was ready for us. However the food was worth it. The mango sauce wings were divine, the red pepper hummus was great and out burger and sandwich was the best i have eaten in st. Louis. The service was five star, i loved the place, it was the best in St. Louis.

I got the lamb Schwarma and I'd say its above average but my wife got a loaded burger and it was really great. On the upper end of burger prices for well worth it. If we ever return id definitely go with a burger. There is an on-site parking lot so also really convenient when we came in from out of town

This was a good hip to go place in Missouri. Wings were awesome ! The "batata" is actually a traditional indian dish which is super flavorful and yummy !! A must try ! The burgers are delicious but you must with different sauce options. Our favorite part of the meal was the vegan brownie. I am definitely going back when next time in St. Louis. Thank you for the great customer service as well.

A curious blend of Middle Eastern food and burgers, but it works! The food is exceptional, down to the little nuances such as tomato apricot ketchup, with all local-grown ingredients. I am dying to try the Gooey Butter Baklava but it would destroy my diet, so I must live with a covetous mind. Great urban hip ambiance with live music. Vegetarian options too. Casual environment.

Modern-feel, laid back environment. Vast menu with plenty of options for all. I liked their cocktail menu options and clever names for their menu items. One of them pictured here is the “Custer Fluck”. Great service, greater food. I will be back!
